Tupo Vyaz is a modular closed sans serif font with very simple design and some elements from the northern variant of Vyaz slavonic calligraphic hand. The font was designed for headline setting on the website of Modern Cyrillic 2019 type design competition. This version is a variable font with Weight axis, it’s uniwidth which makes it very handy for dynamic weight changing in headlines or menus. Also the specific shapes and fixed angles of diagonal strokes allow to change also the height of glyphs. This feature was prototyped and will be added to the next version of Tupo Vyaz. The typeface was designed by Alexandra Korolkova in 2019 an released by Paratype in 2020.
